How can I contact the Resort?

When is the Resort open?
The Resort operates on a seasonal schedule May 1st to Oct 31st each year.
What are your hours of operation?
We are open daily 9am to 5pm with the exception of two weeks over the holiday season. We have extended office hours throughout May, June, July and August.
What is the minimum age required to reserve at the Resort?
Guests must be over the age of 25 to reserve a campsite or vacation home at the Resort.
How Do I Get to Sherkston?
Directions from HAMILTON/ TORONTO: Take the QEW South (past Niagara Falls) towards Fort Erie. Exit Sodom Road. Take Sodom Road South to Stevensville to Highway #3. Take Highway #3 West and follow signs to Sherkston Shores. Directions From BUFFALO/ U.S.A Take the 190 to the Peace Bridge into Canada. Cross bridge and follow the QEW a short distance to Thompson Road. Exit on Thompson Road and follow until the lights at Highway #3.Turn right on Highway #3 and follow signs to Sherkston & Empire Road. Turn left on Empire Road and follow it to the Resort.

If we enquire about homeownership at the Resort, will there be any pressure?
We guarantee a pressure free environment. Our role is to help you see if owning a summer home at Sherkston Shores is right for your family. We are simply here to give you all the information you need.
When can we arrange a tour of the Resort?
We are available for tours 7 days a week.
Do you provide financing?
Yes, we use the Bank of Montreal to finance homes at the Resort. However, some guests finance in many different ways like using a line of credit or home equity release.
Can we rent our home out to cover our costs?
Absolutely! A large percentage of our owners rent their homes through our rental department or to friends and family.
I have an RV; will you take it in trade?
We will take your RV, motor home or fifth wheel in trade. Simply choose the home you wish to purchase and we will work out the cost to change for you. Leave it all up to us!
Can we choose where our summer home is located?
We have a range of locations guaranteed to suit all tastes. Each family has different requirements, the choice is yours!

Vacation Home Rentals/ RV & Camping
What time is check in/out?
Check in time for RV and Camp sites is any time after 12 noon. Check out is 11am. Check in time for Vacation Homes is 4pm unless you have purchased a Premium Package. Check out is 10am. On arrival and departure day you have full use of the Resort amenities and entertainment. You are welcome to arrive and depart as you like from the property. **Late check outs will be charged a full day's rate**
Is use of the amenities and entertainment included or do I have to pay extra?
The use of Resort amenities, outdoor sports courts, beaches, pools, hot tubs, waterslides, mini putt, FunWorks entrance and entertainment is included when reserving through Sherkston Shores! ** If sports equipment is required this can be provided for a rental fee based upon duration of usage**
I am travelling from the United States, what documentation do I require at the border?
Have proof of citizenship readily availble including two forms of identification with at least one photo ID. Have birth certificates for each child in your vehicle. If travelling with children who are not part of your immediate family, have a note of proof that the child has permission to cross the border with you.
I am staying in a Vacation Home, what am I required to bring?
Each Vacation Home comes fully equipped with all kitchen items, Cable TV, deck, firepit, picnic table, AC/Furnace, pillows and blankets. You need to travel with your own linens, towels, toiletries, food, small grill or BBQ, beach chairs, umbrella and FUN! We do send a "What's Next" letter that includes a helpful check list of what to bring for your vacation.
Why do I need a $300 Security Deposit when renting a Vacation Home?
We take a preauthorized $300 amount for security reasons on check in day. This is to protect the investment of our owner's property and company property. It is only processed if malicious or purposeful damage is done to the Vacation Home or Resort. It is held in preauthorization pattern on your credit card during your holiday. It should never appear on your statement unless detailed in the above circumstances.
How can I book a holiday?
Our reservation team works 7 days a week 9am to 5pm daily with extended hours throughout April, May, June, July and August. We can be reached at 1 877 482 3224 or you can reserve online at www.sherkston.com. We require a minimum deposit at time of booking via credit card with balance of your holiday automatically billed 28 days prior to your arrival date. Any promotional pricing requires a full payment at time of booking.
Does my Vacation Home or camp site have telephone/internet access?
If you need to be contacted in case of emergency, interested parties can call 1 877 482 3224 and a message can be delivered to your Vacation Home or camp site. We do have complimentary internet access available in our Main Office during business hours. We also have wireless internet access surrounding our Main Office so laptops can be used in it's vicinity.
I am staying at the Resort, am I allowed to have guests?
Each of our homes and campground sites accomodate a maximum of 6 reserved guests at time of booking. Only guests reserved in Vacation Homes for 1 full week are issued two complimentary passes one time only while staying in the Resort. All other visitors are required to pay entrance to the Resort based upon what they will be accessing for the day.
Are pets allowed at the Resort?
We are breed specific, allowing only non aggressive pets to be brought on holiday. They must remain on a leash at all times, with the owner responsible for clean up at all times. Select vacation homes are 'pet friendly', however a steam cleaning charge of $150.00 will be added to the cost of your holiday to ensure allergy sensitive guests can book at the Resort. Please let us know at time of reservation to ensure you are reserved in the correct type of home.
Are golf carts included in the cost of booking?
Birdie Golf Carts is a separate company from Sherkston Shores Resort. They do provide rentals for our Resort guests. They can be reached at 905 894 3113. During peak times is it suggested to phone them in advance of your arrival date for reservations.
What are the best directions to the Resort?
We are located on HWY #3 between Fort Erie and Port Colborne on the shores of Lake Erie. Our address is 490 Empire Rd, Sherkston ON, L0S 1R0 if required for any internet address information.
